Privacy and purchasing policies

Who I am

The Calm Confidence Toolkit is operated by Polly Hickling.

These policies cover this website, enquiries and PDF downloads. Practitioner sessions are separate and are not included in a workbook purchase.

Your privacy

When you request a free sample, purchase a resource or contact me, I may receive your name, email address, billing address, order information, payment status and the contents of your message.

The website’s service providers also process technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device information, to operate and protect the website. Optional analytics may collect information about website use.

I use this information to:

Process purchases and deliver resources, on the legal basis of performing a contract with you.
Provide requested free samples and respond to enquiries, on the basis of my legitimate interest in providing requested resources and assistance.
Maintain financial records required by law, on the basis of legal obligation.
Resolve complaints and protect the business, on the basis of legitimate interests or legal obligation where applicable.
Use optional analytics where you have consented.

Information required at checkout is needed to process your order and deliver your download. You do not need to provide health information to buy or use a workbook.

Downloading or purchasing a resource does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. Any separate email subscription is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Service providers and retention

Squarespace hosts this website, operates checkout and delivers downloads. Payments are processed through Squarespace Payments and the providers involved in your chosen payment method. My contact email is hosted by Google. I do not receive your full payment-card number or security code.

Information may be shared with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for accounting, legal obligations or resolving a dispute. I do not sell your personal information.

Some providers process information outside the UK. International transfers must have the safeguards required by applicable data-protection law. Contact me for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

Financial order records are normally retained for six years after the relevant accounting period. Routine enquiries are normally deleted within two years of closure. Information may be retained longer where necessary for legal obligations or an unresolved dispute.

Cookies and your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it.

What you are purchasing

The product page explains the contents and price of each resource. These are English-language PDF downloads for personal use. No physical item is posted, and there is no subscription.

You need an internet connection to download the file and compatible PDF-reading software. You can read it on a device, print selected pages or annotate it using suitable software. The PDFs do not contain interactive form fields.

These are educational resources for personal reflection and everyday learning. They are not therapy, medical advice or a substitute for professional care. No particular outcome is promised. You can skip, adapt, pause or stop exercises whenever you choose.

Ordering and delivery

Review your basket and email address before completing checkout. The total payable and available payment methods are shown before you order. There are no postage charges.

A paid order is accepted when confirmed by email following successful payment. A free sample is confirmed without a payment charge. Orders are handled in English.

Downloads are normally available on the confirmation page and sent to your checkout email shortly after confirmation. Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive.

Download links can expire. Squarespace normally lets you request a refreshed link using the original order email. Save the PDF to your device for continued access. Contact me if you cannot receive or open your file.

Cancellation, problems and refunds

You may cancel a paid PDF purchase within 14 days after your order is confirmed, including if you have already downloaded it. Email calmconfidencetoolkit@gmail.com with a clear cancellation request and your order details. No reason is required.

Refunds for cancellations under this policy will be made within 14 days of receiving your request, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed, without a refund fee.

You can use this cancellation wording, but do not have to:

“I wish to cancel my purchase of [resource], ordered on [date]. My name is [name] and my order number is [number].”

Your statutory rights remain unaffected. Paid digital content must meet applicable requirements, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is faulty or incorrectly described, you may be entitled to repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or refund.

Contact me about access problems, duplicate charges, incorrect files or complaints so I can investigate and help resolve them.

Personal use

You may save your PDF and print copies for yourself. Please do not resell, redistribute, publicly upload or reproduce it for a group, organisation or course without permission. Contact me to discuss wider use.

Nothing in these policies limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
